Anthony grew up dividing his time between rural Pennsylvania and central Baltimore. By the age of 14 he was fully immersed in the only three records from his father’s collection that mattered to him: Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Born to Run,’ the Ramones’ eponymous debut and the Good Morning Vietnam soundtrack. Over 20 years and many electric & acoustic bands later he still draws primarily from those earliest influences, crafting soulful story songs and folk ballads with lyrics that celebrate the lives of the lonely, lovelorn and desperate, the hopeful and the down-but-not-quite-out.
